The collection
Earrings frame the face, which means they are the most visible jewellery you own. Our earring collection covers everything from the small gold tops worn daily to the grand jhumkas and chandbalis of wedding season, crafted in 18K, 21K, and 22K gold. We pay special attention to backs, hooks, and weight balance, because the most beautiful earring in the world is worthless if it hurts by evening.
From a schoolteacher’s everyday studs to a bride’s chandbalis, every pair is made to be worn, not just admired.
Occasions
Earrings are the most gifted jewellery of all. Baby girls receive their first tiny gold tops, often at birth or at an early Eid. Teenagers get their first proper pair at Eid or on exam success. Brides choose statement jhumkas or chandbalis as part of their bridal set, and mothers and sisters upgrade their own pairs for the wedding season.
They are also the easiest “just because” purchase, a pair of tops bought on a good day, with no occasion needed at all.
Styles you will find
Tops (studs). Small, clean gold studs for everyday wear. The workhorse of every jewellery box, worn by women of every age.
Jhumkas. The beloved bell-shaped drops of South Asia, from delicate daily-wear sizes to grand bridal pieces. No earring says “festive” quite like a jhumka.
Chandbalis. Crescent-moon earrings with hanging drops, elegant and unmistakably traditional. A bridal favourite and stunning with formal wear.
Drops and danglers. Elongated earrings with stones or goldwork that move as you move. Evening and wedding wear.
Hoops (balis). Classic gold hoops in various widths, from slim daily hoops to bold festive balis.
Chandelier earrings. Multi-tiered statement pieces for weddings and formal events, designed to balance presence with wearability.
What to look for
Weight and comfort. This is everything with earrings. Heavy earrings stretch earlobes and cause pain within hours. Try pairs on and wear them for several minutes in the shop before deciding. If they feel heavy in minute five, they will be unbearable by hour five.
Backs and closures. Push-backs should grip firmly; screw-backs are more secure for valuable studs; hooks should be smooth with no sharp ends. Ask us to check the closure on any pair you are considering.
Purity. 22K for classic gold designs, 21K for detailed work, 18K for stone-set pieces where the setting needs strength. Daily-wear tops in 22K are a Pakistani classic.
Pair matching. Hold the pair side by side and check they truly match in size, colour, and finish. Handmade pieces can vary slightly; we check every pair before it reaches the counter.
FAQ
How heavy is too heavy for earrings? If you feel the weight pulling within a few minutes of trying them on, they are too heavy for all-day wear. Bridal earrings can be slightly heavier since they are worn for shorter periods, but comfort still matters.
What is the most secure earring back? Screw-backs are the most secure for studs and are worth choosing for valuable pairs. For hooks and drops, check that the closure mechanism is firm and the metal is smooth.
Can I wear jhumkas every day? Small, lightweight jhumkas are lovely for daily wear. Save the grand, heavy bridal jhumkas for occasions, both for comfort and to keep them looking their best.
Do you sell single earrings if I lose one?
Ask us, we can often craft or source a matching single, though an exact match depends on the design. This is another reason to keep your receipt and piece details.
